What is something [people in your industry/niche] owners have to deal with that you want to fix? Accurate timeline delivery. It is very difficult to accurately predict when trees will be ready for delivery.  There are so many factors at play. I understand how important it is for the farmer to have an accurate picture of when they will get their trees. Hence why its so important to me.

What do you do at T&T Agric? I deal with the clients. Research and development. I try to ensure we are always modern proportion methods and technology (agro chemicals). I oversee all horticultural dynamics of the business and work closely with our team. With a team of highly skilled consultants we give the best advice to our farmers – from new growers to established growers.

What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position? NDipt in Horticulture from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. I have been involved in macadamia farm manager since 2010. In 2015 I established my first macadamia nursery. I joined the T&T Agric team in 2016.

What do you like about working at T&T Agric? The rule here is that we always have to have fun. Like minded people who want to develop the macadamia industry. Dynamic environment. The team all have their strengths and everyone adds value.

What are the values that drive you? Quality and Integrity – Our responsibility to the customer, the shareholders and the industry. Selling the customer the best quality tree that we can produce – the best in the industry.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Playing golf and spending time with my family.

What do you do at T&T Agric? my responsibilities include the production of micrografted macadamia, grafting and grow-on of clonal avocado rootstocks and ensuring that the production facilities are in good order.

What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position?  I have worked in numerous protea based production nurseries, have spent many years in various production nurseries, i also have much experience in tissue culture laboratories which helps when dealing with micrografting.

What do you like about working at T&T Agric? The fact that i am able to push the envelope, we are always looking for ways in which to reinvent the wheel
